Abstract: | Oils extracted from the achenes ofBoehmeria longispica Steud.,B. spicata Thunb., andB. nivea Gaud. var.concolor Makino (Urti-caceae) and those from the seeds ofTricyrtis affinis Makino andHosta longipes Matsum. (Liliaceae) were surveyed for their charac-teristics and fatty acid composition. All the oils contained linoleic acid in high levels (80.2–83.5%) as determined by gas liquid chro-matography of the derived methyl esters. |
