Fertigteile aus Holz und Holzwerkstoffen—bautechnische Vorteile und Probleme

Among the many problems to be observed in the design of prefabricated wood elements, the load capacity, the thermal insulation for winter and summer conditions including protection against moisture due to condensation and the sound protection of exterior and interior constructions are dealt with in this paper. The properties of wood panels are compared with present standards and those to be expected in the future. A large section is reserved for the sound transmission loss, a problem which prefabricated wood panels will have to cope with in the future.
