Discussion on the Black Start Scheme of Regional Power Systems

A feasible and efficient black start scheme is extremely helpful to quick and orderly restoration of regional power systems(RPS) . Based on the differences in the black start schemes between RPS and provincial power systems, the discussion focuses on issues concerning the black start of regional power plants, such as the investigation method. Some important but easily neglected problems during the process of black start are presented and the corresponding solutions are proposed. The analysis in this paper may be helpful to the regional electric power companies in proposing and developing schemes of black start.
