Abstract:Sintering is the main energy-consuming process in the steel production process.The use of waste heat recovery technology in the sintering process can effectively recover energy and reduce energy consumption.In this study,an economic analysis model of waste heat utilization in the sintering process was established,and the economics of two waste heat utilization schemes,including waste heat power generation and waste-heat-driven machinery,were compared and analyzed.The results showed that in the case of power generation,when the power of the generator set was larger,the investment payback period of waste heat recovery system was shorter.In the case of waste-heat-driven machinery scheme,the load of the steam turbine had little effect on the investment payback period.Comparing with the waste heat power generation,the investment payback period of the scheme for waste-heat-driven machinery was shorter,indicating that the waste-heat-driven machinery scheme had good economic efficiency.This study provided a reference for the recovery and utilization of waste heat in the sintering process of steel plants.
