| Abstract: | Chitosan can be used as flocculant,adsorbent for organics and heavy metal-chelating agent in wastewater treatment.The mechanisms of flocculation and adsorption between chitosan and soluble dyes,heavy metal ions,protein and microorganism were reviewed in detail.The main factors which influence flocculation and adsorption were also discussed in the paper. |
