Abstract: | This paper describes an interactively programmed computer tool with wide ranging capability for sampling plan design and evaluation. Developed under sponsorship of the National Science Foundation, this tool is useful in sampling plan optimization, evaluation, and simulation of inspection activities. It has both a statistical and an economic base, and can also consider perfect or imperfect inspection. It is meant to be used for actual sampling plan design and evaluation and/or training of industrial quality control engineers, as well as for classroom use in an academic setting. |
