| Abstract: | Abstract The paper discusses principles, methods and inaccuracies of speed measuring systems, analyzes the measuring method's option and the reliability of overspeed protection systems for steam turbines and propounds the opinion that overspeed protection should simultaneously be accompanied by monitoring both speed and acceleration. |
