Blasting Construction of Cofferdam Removal in Yumenkou Pump Station No. 1

A line of rock ridge,ten meters high with a concrete retaining wall,four meters high placed on it,along and close by the Yellow River's left bank forming a cofferdam at the time when the construction of Yumenkou pump station No.1's building was being carried out.When the building will be over before long,the cofferdam was to be removed by blasting.In this paper,the construction technique,the quality control in the construction of the blasting for the cofferdam removal are introduced,together with the safety measures which had been taken.
