Over voltage protection and operation of main-transformer neutral point in Hunanzhen HPP

Based on the anti-accident measures of the state grid and the requirement of grid dispatching department on transformer neutral point grounding ways, this paper conducts a study on overvoltage of semi-insulating transformer neutral point and its influence on operation. From various aspects, including the setup of the devices for the primary overvoltage protection and the transformer neutral point relaying protection, the principle of neutral point grounding disconnector operation and the adjustment principle of the neutral protection when the transformer neutral point grounding ways change with operation mode, the paper discusses the prevention methods of overvoltage on semi-insulating transformer neutral point caused by fault or switching operation, which provides reference for the safe operation of semi-insulating transformer.
