Abstract: | Abstract This paper reports an experimental investigation into comfort sensations of people wearing 100% cotton woven shirts, with and without nano-finish. Subjects were asked to rate their comfort sensations before and after exercising. No matter whether the fabric was nano-treated or not, before exercise, overall discomfort was mainly determined by tactile sensations such as roughness of the fabric surface; after exercise, overall discomfort was greatly determined by moisture-related sensations such as dampness. |
