| Abstract: | The water ingression into closures is a common fault in the case of buried fiber optic cable links. Based on the problems found in the renovation of practical fiber optic links the causes and harmfulness of water ingression into closures for buried fiber optic cables are briefly discussed. In addition, on the basis of the experiences obtained during the renovation some dealing measures are recommended. |
