Abstract: | Theoretically and experimentally determined echo widths of dielectric cylinders having circular, triangular, and quadratic cross sections have been compared. The cylinders were made of foam material having a relative dielectric constant of about 1.035. The purpose of the investigation was to find a cross section with a small echo width. The result can be used in selecting a proper support for test objects in backscattering measurement studies. |
