全球时间与岭南想象 历史与大众政治视野中的广州新建筑评述

2010年广州亚运会前,位于新城市中轴线上的一系列标志性建筑群相继落成,代表了广州加速迈入国际化都市行列的新城市形象。新建筑的形象生产在新世纪的大众政治格局中有所创新,却并未脱离城市的历史脉络。文章从"全球时间"、"南大门"和"岭南想象"三个概念入手解析这批新建筑的符号象征意义,并揭示影响当代中国建筑生产的心理动因和精神需求。

Global Time and the Lingnan Imagination A Review of Guangzhou's New Architecture on the Historical and Mass Political Horizon

In the run-up to the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games,a series of landmark buildings located on the city＇s new central axis were completed one after the other,signifying the city＇s new image as an international metropolis.Yet the creation of images of the new buildings did not deviate from the historical context of the city even as certain innovations were introduced against the backdrop of the mass political setting of the new century.This article analyzes the symbolism of these new buildings through three concepts,namely the global time,the Southern Gateway and the Lingnan imagination,and reveals the psychological motivation and spiritual needs informing the contemporary China＇s architectural creation in a metaphoric approach.
