Abstract: | The paper discusses the results of studying the influence of commutator working surface roughness and hardness on the rate of bar wear. The obtained dependences describe the effect of impact machining variables on bar surface roughness and surface layer hardness. The conditions for impact machining (IM) commutator copper are determined. The composition of the oxide film that arises on the commutator surface upon impact machining accompanied by the introduction of a graphite suspension is analyzed and the effect of the oxide film on the commutation of direct current machines (DCM) is evaluated. |
