The Research on Using Additional Carding Device at Back Plate on Carding Machine

The current situation of research on using additionalcarding device at the back plate of local-made carding machinesis elaborated in this paper. Adding additional back stationaryflats or web cleaner to existing carding machine can helpimprove the quality of both silver and the resulted yarn, whileeven better results can be achieved by incorporating both ofthem at the same time. The gauge of back stationary flats isgenerally correlated with the gauge between back plate andcylinder. On the A family local-made carding machines, thegauge of back stationary flats is 0.5-0.6 mm and usually 2-6(often 3-4) back stationary flats are used.
