| Abstract: | The ferrous chloride from pickling solution can be oxidized by oxygen under the catalysis of nitric oxides in closed circuit comprising a liquid phase and a vapor phase to produce coagulant-poly ferric chloride. This reaction is a typical gas-liquid reaction controlled by the adsorption of nitric oxides in gas phase. The productivity can be remarkably enhanced by increasing interfacial area between gas phase and liquid phase. According to its oxidation mechanism a preparative technology is presented. |
