| Abstract: | On the principle of energy method, new procedures are proposed for approximate calculation of the fundamental frequency of continuous beams and three important lower mode shapes and frequencies of 3-D complicated piping systems. A real-life piping system and other examples are calculated using the proposed method and the results are compared with the exact solutions from the dynamic analyses. |
