| Abstract: | A great number of video clips can be stored in the optical jukebox in VoD Systems. In this paper a scheduling scheme, called Combined MQL/FCFS (CMF) , of short video clips in the jukebox is proposed. Simulation shows that the proposed scheme balances the efficiency and fairness, and reduces the defection probability and increases the throughput significantly compared with MQL and FCFS schemes. |
