| Abstract: | A new error control- coding scheme, named Turbo Codin g can achieve the error correcting capacity close to the Shannon limit when the co de words are long enough. This paper mainly describes the principles of Turbo co ding and decoding, and then analysis its performance synthetically. Finally it i ntroduces its application in the third generation mobile telecommunication syste ms. |
