A simple calorimeter for hydration studies |

| Abstract: | A semi-adiabatic calorimeter was designed in order to study hydration reactions of cements and cement constituents. Its construction is inexpensive and uncomplicated and it is easily operated. The sensitivity is less than 1 cal/gm-hr and the read-out can be detected in less than one minute. The reproducibility of the results has been found to be very good. |
