摘    要:提出了一种灵活易移植(FP)的WiMAX媒体接入控制(MAC)协议栈软件系统架构FPWiMAC,为WiMAX系统研发提供了参考设计. 通过采用操作系统(OS)抽象层、物理平台管理子系统等机制,降低了MAC软件对操作系统、物理层(PHY)实现及硬件平台的依赖;通过设计动态算法库、核心数据库等增强了系统灵活性;同时采用高效的下行数据调度器、二维数据映射器、动态测距区域分配器等机制,提高了系统性能. 实际系统测试结果表明,FPWiMAC有较好的灵活性和易移植性,同时其高带宽、低时延的特性可保证网络中实时业务的服务质量(QoS)需求

Abstract:A flexible and portable WiMAX MAC (FPWiMAC) protocol stack software system is proposed. By introducing an OS abstract layer and a PHY management subsystem, FPWiMAC is independent of operating systems, PHY implementations and hardware platforms. System flexibility is improved by the features of dynamic algorithm library, core database and so on. Moreover, the key mechanisms, including downlink data scheduling, two-dimension data mapping, dynamic ranging region allocation, are effectively designed to improve system performances. The test results show that the flexibility and portability of FPWiMAC are excellent; the features of high bandwidth and low latency can support the QoS requirements of real-time services in 802.16 networks.
