| Abstract: | In the paper,Gelcasting of binary zirconia alumina composites ceramic was further studied.Special emphasis was placed on the preparation of concentrated suspension with low viscosity and high solid volume loading.Stability of aqueous zirconia alumina suspensions with dispersant MN was studied as a function of pH That the surface modification of alumina and zirconia by adsorption of MN on them made it possible to prepare the binary zirconia alumina suspension with low viscosity and high solid volume loading.Using optimum amount of dispersant MN at pH9 5,the zirconia alumina suspension with low viscosity and high solid was made by electrosteric stabilization mechanism |
