| Abstract: | This paper presents the formation and mutual-promo ting development of automation and manufacturing industry, and discusses the con notation and important role of automated manufacturing system during its formati on and development phases. It points out that automation and manufacturing techn ology are the two wheels to drive advanced manufacturing system to advance; neit her of them can be ignored. The paper concludes that combination of the research es on automation and manufacturing technology is the only road to the developmen t of advanced manufacturing technology. |
