Brief Analysis on Application of New Techniques in Construction of Internal Coating of Slug Catchers for Oilfield

For oilfield pressure vessels in a long term corrosive service environment,the internal coating technology is one of the main methods of corrosion protection in pressure vessels.The anti-corrosion mechanism and failure reasons of the internal coating were described.According to the on-site use of the internal coating of the slug catcher in an oilfield treatment station,the new technologies were used for quality control in the construction of the internal coating.In the process of the construction,low surface treatment grade St2 epoxy anticorrosive paint with good permeability and oil resistance properties was used as the primer,the new wet sandblasting technology was used frrpressure vessel surface pretreatment and the new process of UV light irradiation coating was applied,which could significantly shorten the curing cycle.Methods such as macro inspection,paint film thickness detection,electric spark leakage detection and adhesion detection were adopted to strictly inspect the construction quality of the inner coating.The inspection proves that the quality of the inner coating is qualified,which can guarantee the long-term reliable operation of the pressure vessel.
