Influence Factors Analysis and Improvement Measures of HFW Pipe Weld Impact Toughness

The HFW pipe production process has come to be a mature technology; it is commonly used in oil well pipe and the pipe for transporting oil and gas, whether it is used in onshore or offshore. With pipeline transmission pressure increasing, the more higher welding quality requirement for HFW pipe is put forward, and the impact toughness is one of the crucial indicators to evaluate welding quality. In this article, it analyzed the effect factors to HFW pipe weld by impact test and fracture organization, combining with some HFW pipe manufacturer production practice. Finally, some improvement measures were proposed.
