Abstract:Changing of material resistance with applied magnetic field intensity is called Giant magnetoresistance (GMR). The preparation of metallic multilayers and the test methods of their magnetic performance were introduced. The effect of metallic multilayer structure on GMR was discussed. Current study and theoretical explanation of GMR of metallic multilayer were reviewed, and its study trends were prospected.
