| Abstract: | This paper summarizes preliminary results of remote sensing test with an airborne microwave radiometer, in the Gobi-desert region. The relationship between microwave signature and complex dielectric constant for various rocks and minerals is analyzed. The possibilities of exploring for water and mineral resources in this arid region by means of passive microwave radiometry are discussed. |
