The domestic and foreign producing and consuming market of glycol was analyzed in brief.And the research and development of the coal-to-glycol technology,enjoying Chinese self-relied intellectual property rights,were introduced.Our country was the world＇s first to carry out coal-to-glycol technology commercialized.The process of the industrialization of the Chinese coal-to-glycol technology was introduced,and the issues which should be considered during development were put forward.The technicality and economic efficiency should be taken into account as a whole,and the coal-to-glycol industry should be developed in an appropriate way.
