摘    要:文章简要总结了LOD进行地形简化的一般方法,介绍了一种通过稀疏采样技术实现LOD自动生成的算法。结合DEM均匀网格模型,以“块”作为地表模型大面积简化的空间单位,同时考虑了视点视向相关因素的影响,建立了多LOD数据结构保存各层模型,大大降低了大范围地景的复杂度和计算量,有效地简化了地表模型的绘制,提高了地景生成效率。该方法通过VisualC++6.0和OpenGL编程实现了一个三维的复杂地景生成系统,进一步验证了算法的有效性。

Abstract:The general methods of terrain simplification with LOD is summarized briefly in this paper.An algorithm of LOD automatically generation through sparsely resampling technique is presented.Based on DEM uniform grid model,"block"is taken as the space unit of terrain simplification and the effects of viewpoint and view direction are consid-ered,a multi-LOD data structure is built to store every level of models.The complexity and calculation are greatly re-duced,the rendering of the terrain model is simplified effectively,and the efficiency of the terrain generation is im-proved.A system for3D complex terrain generation is realized through Visual C 6.0and OpenGL programming based on this algorithm,which verifies the validity of the algorithm furtherly.
