术语学与语言学

术语学已发展成为一个独立的综合学科。语言学始终是与术语学关系密切的亲缘学科。本文阐述了术语学与语言学的历史因缘，更着重总结了借助语言学的理论方法研究术语的发展趋势及一般规律所得出的一些初步结论。文章同时也指出了科学工作者与语言学工作者携手从事术语研究的必要性，以及在术语研究中仅仅依靠语言学方法的局限性。

Terminology and Linguistics

Terminology has developed into a independent interdisciplinary subject. Linguistics has always been inherently connected with terminology. This paper aims to illustrate the historical connection between terminology and linguistics, laying emphasis on the summing-up of the developmental trend of the research of terminology through the theoretical method in the field of linguistics and the tentative conclusions based upon the general regularities. At the same time, the paper points out the necessity of cooperation between scientists and linguists in the research of terminology and the limitations in the field of terminological research by relying on the linguistic method alone.
