| Abstract: | Administered the SCL-90, a 90-item revision of Hopkins Symptom Check List, to 358 unselected psychiatric outpatients. Responses were factor analyzed using a principal components procedure, and varimax rotation yielded 5 interpretable factors for which factor scores were derived—Depression, Somatization, Phobic Anxiety, Functional Impairment, and Hostile Suspiciousness.
