Abstract:The ignition and combustion characters of petroleum coke were studied by thermogravimetric analysis. It was found that the petroleum coke ignition temperature raised with the increase of particle diameter and the decrease of particle weight; and the petroleum coke burning out rate increased with less particle diameter and weight, and lower heating rate. The combustion characters of petroleum coke were between those of soft coal and anthracite.
