《丰乳肥臀》英译中的创造性叛逆翻译现象研究

摘    要:翻译不仅是语际转换的过程,它还是一种跨文化交际模式,翻译中必然时刻体现两种不同文化的碰撞与融合。翻译创造了原语文本在另一文化系统中的形象。文章以埃斯卡皮创造性叛逆翻译理论为依托,以葛浩文对莫言《丰乳肥臀》的译本为个案,分析了《丰乳肥臀》英译本中文化因素的翻译策略,进一步探讨影响译者翻译策略的因素,指出译者将源语文本引入译入语文化语境,很多情况下是对源语文本进行的“创造性叛逆”。

Research on creative treason translation in Big Breasts and Wide Hips
Abstract:Translation is not only an inter-lingual transformation, and more important, it is an intercultural communication, which inevitably bears clashes and fusions across different cultures. Translation creates a different image of source text in another cultural system. The author of this article endeavors to analyze Howard Goldblatt's translation strategy of cultural elements in Mo Yan’s novel Big Breasts and Wide Hips, and explore those factors that influence the translator’s translating choices, based on the notion“Translation is always a sort of creative treason”put forward by French literary sociologist Robert Escarpit, holds that when a translator introduces the source text into the target text, in some cases he is conducting a“creative treason”against the source text.
