摘    要:介绍了目前梯度折射率分布(GI型)聚合物光纤的预制棒拉丝工艺和共挤出工艺的进展情况,分析比较了几种典型加工工艺如界面凝胶共聚法、共挤出工艺等的特点。通过分析比较认为,预制棒拉丝工艺制得的光纤纯净且杂质少;共挤出工艺制备的效率更高,更有利于降低光纤光损耗。并提出今后共挤出工艺的两个研究重点:共挤扩散过程机理的研究及如何进一步降低光纤的非固有光损耗。

Abstract:Graded index polymer optical fiber (GI-POF) had drawn significant attentions and was considered as the most suitable high-bandwidth transmission media for local area networks. Some typical preparation methods of GI-POF, i.e., preform bar extension, interfacial-gel copolymerization, and coextrusion methods were introduced and compared. The fibers produced by preform bar extension contained fewer impurities and that by coextrusion provided lower light losses. The important issues in the coextrusion of GI-POF's included the mechanism of diffusion and further reducing the extrinsic light loss.
