Discussion on calculation method about soil gravity stress

Based on principle of effective stress,the paper discuss the calculation of effective stress in the condition of confined water and leakage water in foundation. In order to calculate soil gravity stress accurately and to avoid data loss of confined water head,the measure of confined water level should be emphasized as well as groundwater table. Moreover,it is important to make a series maps about distribution of confined water to meet the need of calculation of soil gravity stress and so on.
