| Abstract: | The consolidation theory of unsaturated clays is introduced in this paper. The method for determination of consolidation coefficient of unsaturated clays is found based on Barden's solution. Then. according to consolidation tests for different degrees of saturation. the effect of the degree of saturation on consolidation settlement is summarized. and the interval of saturation degree of consolidation coefficient is determined. |
