Laser-induced Effects in Te-Ge Multilayer Thin Films

Experiments on the interaction of an excimer and argon lasers with multilayer configurations in the Ge-Te system are performed. The use of similar laser energy densities with very different irradiation pulse lengths and areas induces widely differing damage effects.
