Abstract: | Summary We consider an anti-plane edge moving crack problem with the constant velocity in a piezoelectric ceramic block. The far-field anti-plane shear mechanical and in-plane electrical loads are applied to the piezoelectric block. It is expressed to a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Expressions for the dynamic field intensity factors and the dynamic energy release rate are obtained. The dynamic stress intensity factor and the dynamic energy release rate depend on the crack propagation speed. Numerical results for several piezoelectric materials are also presented. |
