| Abstract: | In this paper some methods and standards for lightening protection in optic cables are introduced. The damages caused by lightening in optic cables, the styles of lightening strike and the rules of lightening are analyzed so that effective actions can be taken immediately when lightening occurs to ensure unblocked communications and security of maintainers. |
