介绍了东方电机单只线棒VPI绝缘系统试验研究情况，介绍了VPI绝缘系统使用的树脂性能及云母带性能，对VPI定子线棒的绝缘结构和工艺系统地进行了试验研究，采用了国际上先进的试验方法，如：分层试验、1min阶梯升压击穿、冷热循环试验等试验方法评定了绝缘结构。提高了东方电机的绝缘研究试验水平，使定子线棒绝缘技术水平上了一个新的台阶，单只线棒VPI绝缘系统的应用使绝缘结构设计和线棒制造达到了世界先进水平，并成功应用在工作场强为3．2kV／mm、额定电压为20kV的绝缘结构上。
