Analysis and Application of Limit-Test Data in Xinjiang Oil Field

Electronic gauge can be used as a great role to limit tests by their advantages of accuracy and rapidity. For ablock, beneficial directions of exploration and development can be determined through houndary distancesobtained by the interpretation of electronic gauge test data. There are complex geological structure and Oil-gas-water distribution dominated by faults in Xinjiang oil field. Accurate boundary parameters obtained from thetest data of the electronic gauge with a specific sensitivity can be submitted as a principal evidence for thearrangement of new exploration wells. It is suggested that the limit test is a progressive technology with largeoutput by small input.
