| Abstract: | Nitrochlorobenzenc is an important raw material for synthesizing dyes, pesticides and medicines. Its traditional production by mixed sulthric-nitric acid method is environmentally harmful, with pollution of used acids and corrosion of equipments. Latest progress is reviewed on clean nitration of chlorobenzene with solid acids, ionic liquids, rare-earth salts, nitrogen oxides and microreactors. |
