The Old North Street, an ancient commercial street, is an important component of the old town in Leping. So far, there are a thousand-year-old well Wanjiachi and more than 10 hundred-year-old wells still being used. This article analyzes the formation, development and evolution of the pattern of the Old North Street by introducing the ancient wells and combining with traditional civil life, shows and discusses the significance Of wells construction and civil culture to urban spatial pattern.
