| 摘 要： | 该文回顾并论述了城“市”的历史源流。“市”最初出现于人类集聚点，其出现为集聚点乃至“城”成为城市提供了可能。早期“市”的规划受到封闭管理理念的影响，布局严谨。唐宋之际，市坊制发展成街巷制，街市逐渐兴起，古人的诗句透露出相关信息。元明以降，专业街发展迅速，城市的地名留下了显著痕迹。
