Abstract: | The pseudospectral method is applied to the axisymmetric and asymmetric free vibration analysis of spherical caps. The displacements and the rotations are expressed by Chebyshev polynomials and Fourier series, and the collocated equations of motion are obtained in terms of the circumferential wave number. Numerical examples are provided for clamped, hinged and free boundary conditions. The results show good agreement with those of existing literature.
