| Abstract: | MPEG-4 addresses a wealth of applications instead of a specific one, providing flexibility and extensibility for the various requirements of upcoming audiovisual applications, realizing content-based interactivity, reusability and scalability.The paper gives an introduction toMPEG-4 system framework, system receiver model(SRM),system hierarchy model,video object plane(VOP),model-based coding and semantic-based coding. |
