| Abstract: | Material cost in the foundation of stiffened raft is compared to that of a flat plate raft by mechanical computation and analysis of practical project.The conclusion that the total cost of flat plate raft is lower is derived when the raft foundation is used for a low-rise frame building based on national soil. |
