Fast synthesis of aperture distributions for contoured beam reflector antennas

The use of a gradient function method to optimise aperture fields for contoured beam reflector antennas is shown to be efficient when compared with other approaches. A key feature of the method is that an analytical expression is used to modify the aperture distributions in each iteration.<>
