Selection of leakage monitoring system for oil field gathering pipeline

Abstract:In order to better monito r the operation of oil and gas gathering and transportation pipelines and ensure the safety of oilfield production, suggestions are made for the construction of oilfield gathering and transportation pipeline leakage monitoring systems. Firstly, the oil and gas gathering pipelines are classified by transport media, and the classification and characteristics of various types of oil and gas gathering pipelines in oil fields are analyzed. Secondly, the current leakage monitoring technology is classified, and several widely used technologies are introduced. Leakage monitoring methods are compared and analyzed for the advantages and disadvantages of these methods. Finally, the recommended leakage monitoring methods are given for gathering and transportation pipelines.
