Abstract:Current information on the pathophysiology, diagnostic process, and treatment of growth hormone deficiency is provided. A case study is provided that shows the positive effects of growth hormone therapy on a patient and his family. Information regarding the intravenous clinician's role in administration of growth hormone and patient teaching also is included.
